These terms cover your use of MixVillage (mixvillage.com), run by Human Compute LLC, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA. By using the site you agree to them. Questions: hello@mixvillage.com.
What MixVillage is
MixVillage makes introductions between buyers and independent video creators. It is not an agency and not the employer of any creator; buyers choose who they hire and creators set their own rates and terms. MixVillage never hosts your files or handles payment — links and money stay between you.
We provide the place where the two sides find each other and keep track of the work. Any agreement to do work, and to pay for it, is between the person who posts a brief and the person who takes it.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate information.
- One person per account. Keep access to your email secure, since it is how you sign in.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account.
Posting and doing work
- If you post a brief, describe it honestly, including the price where there is one, and pay what you agreed once the work is done as described.
- If you take a brief, do it yourself, do it as described, and report progress honestly. Creators are independent. Nothing here makes anyone an employee, agent or partner of MixVillage.
- Everyone is responsible for their own taxes, licences, insurance and compliance with the laws that apply to the work.
- Where a verification badge is shown, it means the specific check named on it was done on the date shown. It is not a guarantee of anyone's conduct. Use your own judgement about who you work with.
Payments
The price and how it is paid are shown on each brief. Unless a brief says otherwise, payment is made directly between the two parties. Where MixVillagesends a payout on a poster's behalf, it is sent after the work is approved, to the payout details you gave us.
Reviews and content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to display it on MixVillage so the service can work. Reviews must be honest and about a real brief. We may remove content that is false, abusive, unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.
Not allowed
- Illegal work, or work that would harm someone.
- Harassment, discrimination, or misuse of another person's contact details.
- Using someone else's account, or trying to reach data that is not yours.
- Fake accounts, fake reviews, spam, scraping, or attempts to break or overload the site.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Repeatedly missing work you committed to can also lead to a temporary suspension, as described on the site.
Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Human Compute LLC is not liable for the acts or omissions of people you meet through MixVillage, for the quality of any work, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA. If we change them in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect. Your privacy is covered by our privacy policy.
